Dashing Distribution Software’s HQ is in the centre of the beautiful City of York in the United Kingdom; nestled within the historic Guildhall that was first built over 500 years ago and stands proudly overlooking the river Ouse. We are a company with a deep appreciation for history and cultural values.
Our Story
At Dashing, we started out searching for software that catered to the needs of the electronic component industry. However, we soon realized that there wasn't a single program that checked all the boxes for us. We wanted software that was efficient, visually appealing, and lightning fast. When we couldn't find it, we decided to build it ourselves. And that's how Dashing came into existence.
After three years of relentless effort, we built a software that we are immensely proud of. We started small, with a customer-first approach, and grew organically. We took one customer at a time, ensuring that we provided the best possible service.
We made a conscious decision to reinvent the installation and training process. We send a member of our team to each customer site to train their staff, making sure they can leverage the software's features to the fullest.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We're always available, no matter the time zone. We've created training videos, support tools, and manuals to help users get the most out of the software.
We're proud that our first test version of the application had its flaws. It helped us shape the software into what it is today.

Having been in and out of the Electronic Components industry over the past 23 years I feel I have a solid understanding of it. I enjoy building strong relationships with all of our customers. I always put myself in the position of “How would I like to be treated”. At Dashing our aim is to always provide stellar customer service and that suits me down to the ground. I really enjoy my work and am very excited at what the future will bring.
Away from work (as rare as that is lol) I enjoy spending time with my family. I’m married with 2 boys and 2 (soon to be 3) Dogs.
I love my football, Unfortunately like my colleague Kav, I am too old to play but I love to watch on tv or in person.
My favourite place in the word is the home of football Anfield and I attended as many Liverpool matches as possible.
I also enjoy socialising with my friends and travelling.
I am lucky with work that I get to travel a fair amount and have seen most corners of the USA now, but the tropical places are nice too.
Kavan Wilkinson

I have more than 2 decades experience working within purchasing and supply chain management in a wide range of industries including electronic components. I like to put myself in the customer's position and make sure that Dashing is making your life easier. I am excited about the constant evolution of Dashing to keep it the best, most user-friendly bespoke software for our industry.
I'm happiest in the kitchen; experimenting in cooking different cuisines from all over the world (As much as I enjoy the cooking...I really enjoy the eating the most!).
I am a craft beer enthusiast and am always keen to try weird and wonderful new brews...and have started brewing my own beer at home to varying levels of success!
I love to play guitar at home and during lockdown I started songwriting and home recording...Its great fun but I don't think I will be worrying the charts any time soon.
My number 1 passion was playing football, but unfortunately I have recently had to retire due to injuries, but I still enjoy attending live matches (or shouting at my TV!)

I have over 20 years of experience in administration, customer service, and account management. Coupled with a decade of experience in marketing and social media. I love being organized and have a keen eye for detail.
Beyond my professional life at Dashing, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our 2 miniature schnauzers.
Horse Racing is a passion of mine, as well as with live music and smooth dark rum! I am that person who is always first on the dance floor!
